Operation Alaska Cares
In November, 2006, Anchorage Board of REALTORS@ past-president Viki Kaas conceived Operation Alaska Cares. Viki proposed that the Anchorage REALTOR@ Board send a personal care package to every soldier deployed from Alaska.
The Anchorage Board of REALTORS@ is a not-for-profit entity. All costs have been covered by our members and other generous citizens in the Anchorage community. The donated goods and cash (for postage) have enabled us to ship 660 packages to our military men and women. Today we have 100 more boxes ready to go!
Postage cost for each box is $8.95.
We encourage donations to support this worthwhile project. Goods and monetary contributions may be dropped off at the Anchorage Board of REALTORS@, 1500 West 33rd Avenue, Suite 220, Anchorage, AK 99501. We accept credit cards. Our telephone is (907) 561-2338.
