Dear Anchorage Board of Realtors,

Thank you very much for the recent care package you sent to us while we are serving in Kandahar, Afghanistan. We are forever grateful for the kindness and support we receive from folks back home.

You can be proud of our soldiers who are working hard to bring security and peace to this long conflicted region. Your support for us helps us to sustain our missions to keep terrorism at bay and allow the local population some breathing space in which to recover and move forward. Many Afghan people are now able to get an education and improve their lives dramatically.

Within a few weeks are heading home, but the mission will go on with another group who will be equally dedicated to moving this part of the world forward toward the promise of a new tomorrow.
